A low rise bleacher is designed with a 6” rise not the standard 8” rise and also uses a 12” wide seat in place of the standard 10” seat.
The purpose of the design is to eliminate the center aisle that is required in all 8” rise bleachers. This cuts down on the cost of the bleacher and is a good choice for installations providing bleacher seating for small children but not such a great seating solution for adults. A standard bleacher seat is 17” above ground which is comfortable to sit on but a “low rise” bleacher has only a 12” seat height which means you will have your knees in your chest the entire time you are sitting on them.
